About
You’ve achieved a lot, but lately even small things feel heavy. Maybe you’re tired of pretending you’re okay, or your relationship hast lost its rhythm. Therapy is where you can finally exhale.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Lic. #45854) and earned my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 18 years as a television producer, working on numerous TV shows.
After experiencing the sudden loss of my young husband in a car accident, I realized my life was missing a deeper sense of meaning and purpose. That loss ultimately led me back to school, where I earned my Master of Arts in 2005 and wrote a 291-page thesis titled “The Impact on the Surviving Spouse with Respect to Anticipated Versus Unanticipated Death.” (A bit of a mouthful, I know!)
My professional training and personal life experiences have profoundly shaped the kind of therapist I am today. I know firsthand the value of therapy and how transformative it can be during different stages of life. I truly believe that meaningful change is possible at any age and in any circumstance—if one is open to it.
I am deeply passionate about helping my clients heal, grow, and thrive through the therapeutic process. I also understand how important it is to find the right therapist, and I welcome any questions you may have as you begin that journey.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic and integrative, drawing from several evidence-based theories, including Trauma Therapy, Relational, Imago, Gottman, Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral modalities. I tailor my approach to meet each client’s individual needs—recognizing that no two people are alike. In our work together, I consider culture, family and childhood history, life experiences, and current challenges. My goal is to provide both solace and practical guidance, helping you achieve meaningful and lasting change.
For over twenty years, I’ve helped high functioning adults and couples navigate life’s most personal challenges. My style is compassionate yet direct-rooted in insight, collaboration, and meaningful change.
Clients often describe me as an empathetic yet direct and no-nonsense therapist. I believe therapy should be both supportive and transformative—helping you recognize unhelpful patterns, increase awareness, and foster deeper connection. I also use humor when appropriate and strive to ensure that you gain the most from your investment in therapy.
In addition to my private practice, I bring my background in television production to my work as a media psychotherapy consultant and After-Care Therapist for various reality and talk shows. I have served as the After-Care Specialist on Face the Truth TV, The T.D. Jakes Show, The Ricki Lake Show, and Dr. Drew’s Life Changers. I am also a frequent media guest and relationship expert, offering insight on topics related to relationships, personal growth, and current events.
My clients come from all over California: Los Angeles, Pasadena, South Pasadena, Altadena, Alhambra, San Marino, Westside, Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades, Highland Park, Silverlake, Eagle Rock, Glendale, La Canada, La Crescenta, Montrose, Sierra Madre, and many areas in the San Gabriel Valley, Westside, and San Fernando Valley. With Telehealth, I see clients from all over Northern and Southern California.
I am bi-lingual in Spanish.
