All Sessions Are Virtual Unless Otherwise Arranged

Telehealth therapy may not be for everyone, but it’s benefits can outweigh its downsides. I have found that often clients project more authentic versions of themselves from the comfort of their own home. What I most emphasize is that the integrity of the Therapeutic relationship is not diluted in any way because we are connecting through a screen and we can track shifting emotions, facial expressions and body language via video. I use http://Doxy.me/joannekoegl, which is HIPPA compliant and confidential.

Other beneficial aspects of virtual therapy include:

  • Flexibility in scheduling

  • Convenience, which seems to result in fewer cancellations

  • Able to do 3-way, 4-way conversations if you and your partner on in different locations.

  • Saving time from commuting to and from appointments

  • Eliminates fears of running into others in waiting room

  • Therapist can accept clients anywhere in California, often you do not have a selection of therapist in your, Telehealth allows you to see any California based Therapist.

  • Potentially feeling more comfortable in familiar setting, enhancing vulnerability and disclosure
